This year AARO will be offering two seminars on taxation. The first, “Tax 101” is intended for those who have never prepared their own US tax returns. The second, “Tax 202”, is the Annual Tax Seminar,” which assumes a certain familiarity with the process of declaring.

Tax 101: An Introduction to Basic Tax Reporting Requirements for US Citizens Residing Abroad
Introduction: Who is required to report income to the USA? What income? What must be reported? What are Tax Treaties?
Following a brief introduction and limited Q&A, AARO's Tax 101 will have 3-4 professional tax preparers on hand to assist in a workshop setting. A case study will be presented to illustrate.
Bring with you your income information from last year, i.e. pay slips, bank interest, etc., if you wish to receive personal assistance.
