Private Tour of the Made in Chicago Exhibit at the Mona Bismarck Foundation
Curator Ruth Stiff provided her insights into this formative period for American photography, which began with the founding of the New Bauhaus School of Design, descended directly from the German Bauhaus through the exile Lazlo Moholy-Nagy and others. The New Bauhaus, which later became the Illinois Institute of Technology, played a crucial role in developing and promoting modern design.

AARO in the Netherlands
AARO made a presentation in collaboration with the US Consulate General in the Netherlands and the ABC Treehut and ABC Treehouse to US citizens residing in the Netherlands. Topics included: US Social Security benefits overseas, access to Medicare and health insurance, US taxation and reporting requirements, citizenship and voting rights.

The AARO team reported on their week of representing the unique issues of Americans abroad to Congress, such as  living abroad, such as tax, citizenship, Medicare and overseas voting.

IRS issues of importance to Americans in France, as well as recent changes in US tax law were on the April 14 agenda.

Annual General Meeting
AARO's Annual General Meeting was held on March 31 at The Residence of the Ambassador of the United States of America in the presence of Ambassador Charles H. Rivkin. An address was given by Steven J. Erlanger, Paris Bureau Chief, New York Times.

In Brussels - AARO Evening Seminar
AARO Board members travelled to Brussels for a presentation to US citizens residing abroad. Topics included: US Social Security benefits overseas, access to Medicare and health insurance, US taxation and reporting requirements, and citizenship and voting rights.

Looking at the US Health Care System from a Doctor's Perspective
Margrit Wiesendanger a doctor of Internal Medicine with a specialty in Rheumatology at New York Presbyterian Hospital shared her thoughts about the present state of the health care delivery system in the USA.
